Privacy Policy
BandSlap by Slap Studio is a native stage app for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS. This policy explains what BandSlap does — and doesn't do — with your data. It applies to the BandSlap apps and the bandslap.ssslap.com website.
What we collect
Nothing. BandSlap does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal data. There is no sign-up and no login. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking of any kind.
Your content
Songs, setlists, lyrics, chords, notes, and imported audio live on your device (and, if you turn it on, in your own iCloud, which is controlled by your Apple ID, not by us). We never see it.
Local network sync
When you connect devices to play together, BandSlap uses your local network to send the current song, position, and chart from the master device to the followers, using Apple's Bonjour discovery. That data travels only between your own devices on your network. It never reaches us or any server. There is no backend.
Permissions
BandSlap asks for local network access only to find and sync your other devices. It does not use the microphone, camera, contacts, or location.
Purchases
If BandSlap offers a paid version, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details; Apple handles billing, and any purchase receipts stay with your Apple account.
Children
BandSlap does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the BandSlap apps for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS and the bandslap.ssslap.com website (together, the "Service"), operated by Slap Studio ("we", "us"). By downloading or using BandSlap, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
BandSlap is a stage app: one master device plays the backing tracks and click while every player follows the same song on their own screen — colored sections, scrolling lyrics and chords, and a metronome. It is a performance tool; you are responsible for your own rehearsal, timing, and live use.
2. No account
BandSlap has no sign-up and no login. Your content lives on your own devices (and your own iCloud, if you enable it). You are responsible for backing up your songs and setlists.
3. Purchases
Any paid version of BandSlap is sold through Apple's App Store. Prices are shown before purchase; payment is charged to your Apple account and handled entirely by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.
4. Your content
You own the songs, setlists, lyrics, chords, notes, and audio you add to BandSlap. We claim no rights over it and never receive it. You are responsible for having the rights to any material (including audio and lyrics) you import and use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer the Service, disrupt its operation, or use it for unlawful purposes — including infringing anyone's copyright in the material you load.
6. Intellectual property
The BandSlap apps, name, logo, and design are our property. These Terms don't grant you any right to use them except as needed to use the Service.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from live performance (including sync hiccups, timing drift, or a device dropping off the network). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms. Sections 4, 6, and 7 survive termination.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the date above. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
